About Our Church

Our church is one of the worldwide branches of The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston (also known as The Mother Church). Learn more about Christian Science here  and here.

In the year 1903 the first Christian Science service was held in Lexington.  The group was officially recognized as a church in 1910 and has been holding services ever since.

Our church is democratic, with church officers chosen by the membership. We strive to be governed by God, our creator, and to maintain the equal rights of all members.

We hold a weekly worship service on Sunday morning and also a weekly meeting on Wednesday evening, where those attending are welcome to share their insights and experiences. Sunday School is available for toddlers through late teens during our Sunday service, and children are welcome on Wednesdays.

Our Reading Room is open for the community to visit and find a quiet oasis for prayer, meditation and study as well as a place to share and discuss spiritual inspiration.

We are a member of the Lexington Interfaith Clergy Association and participate in local activities and initiatives along with other congregations. We welcome you to visit our church or Reading Room any time and are happy to answer any of your questions via phone or email.
